Conditions of Hire

Before your booking is complete you must read and accept our Conditions of Hire. If you have any queries or concerns regarding this, please contact siddingtonvillagehallbookings@gmail.com.

Please be aware:

  • We do not accept the use of bouncy castles or large inflatables in the hall or within the grounds of the hall.
  • If you do not hire the whole building, there may be activities occurring in the other space which will result in shared use of the kitchen and other facilities.
  • Booking through this page is only a request and does not guarantee a confirmed booking until you have received confirmation from our bookings secretary via your email.
  • You will receive an invoice via your email prior to your booking occurring; payment in full of this invoice must be completed prior to your event.
  • Booking times are for when you require access to the hall and must include all setting up, and clearing up and cleaning, not just for your activity.

Housekeeping

Our Hall has a ‘self-cleaning’ policy between bookings. You are required to leave all the areas you have accessed in the same clean and tidy state as you would expect to find them, ready for the next user. If there are any problems with this on your arrival, please email us with details and photos of what you have encountered upon your arrival at the hall.

Please ensure that you bring bin bags with you as we do not have a refuse collection. All rubbish generated must be removed at the end of the hire period.

Licences

The hall is licensed for Public Entertainment. If the event is open to the public, then the hirer is required to obtain additional licences for the sale of alcohol and the playing of recorded music. In addition, regular users must register with Environmental Health if preparing or serving food (including drinks) on a regular basis at the hall.

The fabric of the building is insured for all events, but the hirer is responsible for obtaining insurance for their own event. The Trustees must be notified of all activities to be carried out in the hall and/or grounds and reserve the right to veto any activities which they consider to be inappropriate.

Music

If you are hosting a class that plays music and you are charging for that activity, you must have a PRS licence.

Equally, if you are hosting a party or event where you will be playing music and you intend to charge entry for that event, you must have a PRS licence.

Siddington Village Hall has its own relevant PRS licence, but it is only applicable to events that the committee hosts.

Please find further information and how to apply for a PRS licence here: https://www.prsformusic.com/licences
